Discovery Lite
You know one thing is broken. What is fixing it worth?
- A half-day workshop, then the analysis
- One process mapped end to end and costed
- Three costed options and a recommended next step
We map how your work actually happens, put a number on what it costs you, and tell you which fix is worth doing first. Fixed price, fixed scope, no obligation to build anything.
Discovery from £1,950. Your fee comes off your build.
The hours go somewhere, but nobody has ever added them up. So the case for fixing it never gets made, and the problem stays.
Ten things are broken. Without a ranking, you either fix the loudest one or you fix nothing at all.
You're asked to sign off a build when nobody has yet established what the problem is actually worth solving.
Discovery answers all three before you commit to spending anything.
1
We sit with the people doing it. Not the process documentation — the actual work, including the workarounds nobody has written down.
2
Hours, volumes, error rates, delays, and what those cost you in money. Where you have the data we use it. Where you don't, we use your team's estimates and mark them clearly as estimates.
3
Every opportunity scored on effort against impact, so the cheap wins are visibly separate from the significant projects. You see the whole list, not just the parts we'd like to build.
4
With a build estimate and a payback period for each, and a recommendation.
If the answer is a £30-a-month tool and an afternoon of setup, that’s what we’ll tell you.
The right one depends on how much of your operation is in question — not on how big your business is. Not sure? Book the call and we’ll tell you.
Not sure which?
Half an hour on a call and we’ll tell you which of the three fits — or whether none of them do right now. Or start with the free ten-minute assessment below, which points you at one of the three on its own.

The decision has to survive scrutiny. What is the whole picture?
All prices exclude VAT and travel. Fixed price agreed before we start.
Most AI projects don’t fail because the technology doesn’t work. They fail because the data isn’t captured, the systems won’t talk to anything, the process only exists in someone’s head, nobody owns the thing after go-live, or governance says no six weeks after the build started.
A ten-minute, self-scored assessment tells you whether you’re in a position to fix any of that, and which starting point makes sense. It won’t tell you what your problems cost — that is what discovery is for.
Whether you can get a straight answer out of your systems, and whether they talk to each other.
Whether the way the work gets done is written down, and whether it comes out the same way twice.
Whether anyone has done this before, and whether anyone has the time to own it.
Whether decisions get made, and whether anyone has agreed what acceptable use looks like.
Whether what you run on can support the change, and whether data handling would allow it.
It is your own read of your own organisation — a useful starting point, and free. What it is not is verified: we have not seen your systems, your data or your process. That is the difference between it and Discovery Lite.

One process, mapped and costed
One week. A half-day workshop with the people who run the process, then we do the analysis.
Delivered as a written findings document.
Best for A single, bounded process — quoting, invoicing, order entry, reporting, chasing.
£5,9502 weeks
One function, ranked and costed
Four sessions across two weeks with the people who run the function, plus analysis and a costed business case.
Delivered as a presentation with a written appendix.
Best for One function with several related problems — finance, operations, sales admin, service delivery.
£14,5004–5 weeks
Multi-function, board-ready
Four to five weeks. Up to twelve sessions across multiple functions, with a formal business case and a phased roadmap.
Delivered as a board pack with a technical appendix.
Optional add-on — working prototype, £3,500. A functional build of the single highest-value opportunity, so the business case is backed by something you can use rather than something you have to imagine. Adds about a week.
Best for Organisations where the decision has to survive scrutiny — a board, a finance director, or a procurement panel.
Not sure whether you need Discovery Lite or Discovery Sprint? Book the call — that is the question it is for.
Commission a build with us within 90 days and the full fee is credited against it. So if it leads somewhere, it has cost you nothing.
And if it doesn’t, you keep everything — the maps, the numbers, the ranked list, the recommendation. You’re free to take them to anyone you like, including your own team.
The credit applies once, against your first build engagement, where that engagement is at least twice the fee. Credits apply one step at a time and don’t accumulate.
We don’t sell dependency. The point is that you can act without us if you want to.
If we don’t find enough value to justify the next step, we’ll tell you that.
Usually within two to three weeks of the first call. If you need something faster, ask — sometimes we can.
No. Where you have it we'll use it; where you don't we'll work from your team's estimates and label them as estimates.
The people who actually do the work, not just the people who manage it. That is usually the difference between a useful map and a tidy fiction.
We say so. A fair number of the fixes we recommend are a change to a process, an off-the-shelf tool, or a spreadsheet done properly. We'd rather tell you that than sell you a build.
Yes, most of it. On-site tends to be better for the sessions where we watch the work. Travel is charged at cost and agreed in advance.
We'll re-scope and re-quote if delay runs beyond about two weeks. Fifty per cent is invoiced on signature, so neither of us is exposed if things stall.
Yes, a mutual one, before we start.
The two of us. There is no delivery team behind us and no junior consultant doing the work while someone senior sells it. That is the whole proposition.
Half an hour, no charge, no obligation. We’ll ask what’s slow, what’s manual and what it’s costing you, then tell you honestly which option fits — or whether any of this is the wrong thing for you right now.
